our story
Welcome to Alluring Mystics. My name is Shanikqua Monden (Goddess Remii), and the sacred work I do today is built on a powerful foundation of family history, spiritual intuition, and generational resilience.
Every healer has an origin story. Mine begins in the heart of Danville, Virginia, and flows directly through the lineage of my beloved great-grandmother, Vertell Crews.
The Foundation

To understand the vision behind Alluring Mystics, you have to look back at the streets of historic Danville. My great-grandmother, Vertell (tet-tell) Crews-Johnson grew up on Betts Street during the mid-20th century. Living at the geographic and cultural heart of Danville’s Black community, her generation understood the power of community, faith, and holding sacred space for one another.
The Crews name carries a legacy of building and nurturing—from historic landmarks in the Old West End to the everyday strength it took to thrive in the Southside. That spirit of endurance, wisdom, and deep ancestral connection was passed down through the generations, ultimately finding its home in me.
Stepping Into My Calling
From Danville to Atlanta
My entrepreneurial and spiritual journey began in the very same soil as my ancestors. I first stepped into my purpose as a business owner in Virginia, where I was the founder and owner of Lady Remii’s Spiritual Realm LLC in Danville. It was there that I learned how to create a sanctuary for seekers, helping my community connect with their own inner peace, guidance, and spiritual wellness.
As my own path evolved, my vision grew. I relocated to the vibrant, energetic hub of Atlanta, Georgia, where I established Alluring Mystics LLC.
